Ahmedabad, Feb. 21st – Nearly one year into its implementation, the Prayaas Initiative which was rolled out by Johnson Screens India Pvt. Ltd. as the main outlet of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program continues to make substantial and positive impacts for their community. Past efforts have included the donation of backpacks and stationery to the students of the Thori Mubarak Primary School Viramgram, as well as the distribution of 150 grocery kits containing essential items to the residents of a low-income neighborhood in Ahmedabad.
Most recently, members of the Johnson Screens team furthered the Prayaas Initiative by donating two essential machines to the Memnager Branch of Ahmedabad’s Industrial Training Institute (ITI) for Women. The mission of the Institute is to empower their students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in today’s dynamic and ever-evolving job market, and accomplishes this by fostering an environment where innovation, hands on experience, and academic excellence converge to create impactful learning experiences.
In the case of Johnson Screens’ latest Prayaas Initiative action, the two machines donated were a HydraFacial Machine and an embroidery sewing machine. These machines are to be used to provide practical, hands-on education for ITI’s Cosmetology and Tailoring Courses respectively. With almost 100 women currently enrolled in this year’s programs and with countless others who will enjoy the practical learning delivered by these machines over the years to come, Johnson Screens is thrilled to have contributed to the empowerment of Ahmedabad’s upcoming female workforce!
